Mr Sridhar B Samudrala has experience in International Private Power Development, Electricity Market Development, Plant Operation, and System Engineering. He has authored several energy books.

Mr Samudrala has been Director for Asia at WADE for the past seven years, a non-profit organisation promoting decentralised energy. Prior to this he worked at the US Energy Association in Washington DC as Deputy Program Manager for over 12 years. He has authored the following energy books: Thailand Smart Grid Roadmap (in process); 2011 India Energy Book; Thailand Decentralized Energy Roadmap 2010; China Handbook on CHP and Decentralized Energy 2009; and Handbook of Climate Change Mitigations Options 1999. Additionally, he is President and CEO of the International Energy Consulting Corp, a working Partner at Mukund Dairy Farms, and sits on several boards of energy companies in Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering along with a US Coast Guard Third Assistant Engineering License from the New York Maritime College.
