Prior to joining IFC, Anil Chandramani was Vice President in Fuji Bank’s Project Finance Division in Singapore, and before that, he was Financial Economist in the World Bank Group in Washington DC, where he worked on policy issues with governments focusing on Private Sector and Financial Sector Development issues as well as on Investment Promotion in emerging markets.

Before joining the World Bank’s Young Professionals Program, he was Vice President and Regional Corporate Bank Head for Eastern India at Citibank, based in Calcutta, India. He started his career in the Tata Administrative Service of the Tata Group of Companies in India after completing his undergraduate studies (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur and his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
