Mr Bruce Cameron has had many years of experience developing energy strategies, policies and programs. He is currently an Executive Director of Sustainable and Renewable Energy at the Nova Scotia Department of Energy.

Mr Cameron leads the Nova Scotia Department of Energy on renewable energy – including tidal energy, electricity policy, energy conservation and efficiency, sustainability in areas such as transportation, and planning and growing the use of natural gas. He is the government representative on the board of the province’s Offshore Energy Research Association (OERA), the Carbon Capture and Storage Research Consortium. He also sits on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Marine Energy. Mr Cameron did his undergraduate work in the social sciences at Carleton University in Ottawa and received an MBA from Dalhousie University in 1985. He has been involved in a variety of roles in developing energy strategies, policies and programs since 1999. Mr Cameron also spent three and half years with the Nova Scotia Department of Finance.
