Fam Chew Pin graduated with a B.Sc(Hons) Applied Chemistry degree from Portsmouth Polytechnic, UK in 1983 and Master in Chemical Engineering degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia(UTM) in 1996. He is also a registered CIMAH Competent Person and a Safety & Health Officer (SHO).

He joined Lotte Chemical Titan as a Safety Engineer in 1992 and participated in the construction, commissioning, and safe start-up of one of the largest Intergrated Petrochemical Complex in South East Asia. He has spent 21 years working at Lotte Chemical Titan’s plants and was part of the team which successfully implemented Process Safety & Risk Management (PSRM), OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 Management systems and successful construction, commissioning and safe start-up of many new plants and Turnaround Shutdowns at Lotte Chemical Titan.
