Jay Raj

Jay Raj, widely known as Jay Raj is seasoned maintenance and reliability engineering professional with over 18 years of recorded success in Oil & Gas- onshore and offshore, Refinery and Petrochemicals Industries in leadership role in diversified technical field such as Reliability Engineering, Maintenance, Rotating Equipment, Project Management, Business Process Re-engineering and Planning.

He is presently working with the world’s premier LNG company-Qatargas as specialist engineer in reliability and maintenance engineering division. He has extensive experience in managing and improving equipment reliability by developing organization and asset specific strategies. He has managed and maintained plants as old as 40 years to the youngest with most recent design and surveillance technology. He has previously worked with one of the world’s largest oil and gas company –Reliance; here he got opportunities to explore and develop the asset specific and culture specific reliability and maintenance management models at various sites with the varieties of supporting tools such as traditional paper log in the initial years to the most advanced CMMS and other Asset Performance Management Software. Then, for the newly built Tasnee Petrochemicals-KSA, he introduced the reliability business process model and applications of SIX SIGMA Methodology for improving the equipment reliability. Jay has expertise in evolving and establishing the reliability and maintenance business processes; and their IT enablement, leading and facilitating workshops for various reliability tools such as RAM, RCM, RCFA, etc. He has presented several papers on reliability approach, reliability analytics, RAM, RCFAs, RCM and Obsolesces Management. Having directly worked as maintenance engineer and maintenance manager in his initial phase of career; he has a very strong equipment and process knowledge. Jay has a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from M.S. University and trained for SIX SGMA-Black Belt, RCFA, RCM, Reliability Analytics, RAM, Vibration Analysis, CMMS, APM, PMP, HAZOP, and Risk Management.
