Kaizad Sunavala has 23 years’ experience in the refining and petrochemical industries in the field of process design, reliability and maintenance consulting. Currently, he works as Reliability Consultant in the Chevron Reliability Center of Excellence for Refining based in Houston, TX.

His areas of specialization are: Design for Reliability, RAM modeling, Reliability analytics, Maintenance data informatics and integrated operations-reliability modeling. Kaizad is a certified Maintenance & Reliability professional (CMRP) with the SMRPCO and has authored several papers and presented at various conferences. Prior to his career at Chevron, Kaizad worked for the Hartford Steam Boiler Reliability Technology group for 10 years and served as a reliability consultant to several leading oil & gas companies in Europe, North America and the Middle East. He has a Master’s degree in Reliability Engineering from University of Tennessee, Masters in Chemical Engineering from University of Idaho, MBA from Penn State University and Bachelors in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
