Richard Nelson currently leads the firm's South East Asia energy practice and has worked in the LNG industry for many years.
His recent experience has focused on FSRU projects for Golar Energy in Indonesia (Central Java, West Java and South Sumatra), Kuwait and Pakistan, including detailed review and negotiation of long term charter party agreements, shareholding arrangements and O&M agreements. Richard was also heavily involved in several onshore regasification terminal projects including the Singapore LNG project and the Isle Of Grain facility in the UK on which he was responsible for drafting and negotiating the terminal use agreement and secondary capacity access mechanism ('use it or lose it'). He was previously seconded to BP's LNG team in the UK and worked on a number of long-term LNG supply agreements including SEGAS LNG (Egypt) and Brass LNG (Nigeria).
