Michael Waldron is an Energy Markets Analyst on the Oil Industry and Markets Team at the International Energy Agency. He is responsible for developing IEA’s analysis on short-term oil inventory movements, biofuels, and assisting in short-term oil demand analysis as one of the lead authors for the benchmark monthly Oil Market Report. Prior to joining IEA, Michael spent two years as an energy markets analyst at Lehman Brothers in London and New York where he focused on analyzing global oil and alternative fuels markets. Michael holds an MA in International Economics and International Energy Policy from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and a BA in Economics and Government from Cornell University.
