Dr Taswanda Taryo is currently the Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Energy Technology, of Indonesia’s National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN). Prior to his current post, Dr Taryo was the Secretary –General of BATAN from 2011 to 2014 and Deputy Chairman for the promotion of Nuclear Science and Technology (NST) from 2008 to 2011. He has been working at BATAN since 1982. Dr Taryo obtained his Doctoral degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Gadjah Mada, (UGM) in 2003; his M. Sc. In Engineering, from University of New Brunscwick, Canada in 1991; and Bachelor of Science degree from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1981.
