Gordon is the partner leading KPMG Singapore’s Energy and Natural Resources (“ENR”) Sector and the International Tax Group. He has worked in tax for more than 20 years across multiple jurisdictions, including among others UK, Japan, US and Singapore. Gordon is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He holds a Bachelor of Law and Accounting from the University of Glasgow and an MBA from the University of Georgetown, Washington DC.
Gordon is originally from the KPMG UK practice where he worked in audit and tax in Glasgow, Aberdeen and London before moving to Singapore in 1997. Gordon also spent time with KPMG International in the Asia Pacific, including stints in Washington National Tax in the US before settling with the KPMG Singapore practice in 2003. Gordon currently oversees the KPMG International Centre of Excellence Program and the Value Chain Management initiatives.
Gordon has extensive experience in advising multinational clients from Europe, US, and Asia Pacific covering a wide spectrum of industries on international tax and restructuring advisory work including with a number of SGX and US asset listings. Gordon has been significantly involved ENR work throughout the region, including advising oil & gas, mining and alternative energy clients across the full upstream and downstream supply chain in UK, Canada, South East Asia, Middle East and the Pacific Rim.
