His Excellency Dr. Ith Praing, is currently Secretary of State of the Ministry of Mines and Energy of the Royal Government of Cambodia. He was also holding this position during the period from 1984 until 2013 in the former Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy.    

His previous appointments include Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry; Managing Director of Distilleries Factory; and General Secretary of Vocational Training School. During his tenure, he has a broad range of experiences from energy management; negotiation on oil and gas exploration agreement; mineral resources and hydrocarbons and management in industrial production and engineering.        

Excellency Dr. Ith Praing is married with four children.  He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Southern California University for Professional Studies and an Electrical Engineering Diploma from the Engineering College of Cambodia. His favorite hobbies include golfing; jogging; reading and Buddhist meditation.
