ENGIE Asia – Pacific
FJan Flachet is the regional CEO of ENGIE Asia-Pacific and is responsible for overseeing operations and development of power generation, gas activities and energy services since January 2014. Prior to this, he has been President and Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE Latin America for 10 years.
He is President of the boards of Glow and ENGIE Australian Energy, and sits on the boards of Senoko (Singapore), Supreme Energy (Indonesia), Paiton (Indonesia) and PTT NGD (Thailand).
Over the course of his career, Jan has worked in various roles and areas of the energy and gas value chains, ranging from distribution, to operations,transport, trading and business development. Under his leadership, ENGIE has developed gas activities in Chili, Peru, Mexico, Singapore, South-Korea and Thailand.
Jan is an Electro-Mechanical Engineer (University of Leuven, Belgium) and completed his academic training with executive education at INSEAD, Fontainebleau.
In the past 30 years, Jan has worked and lived in Belgium, Argentina, Brazil and Thailand and speaks Dutch, French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. He is married and has three adult children.
