Martin Hauske is General Manager at Kisters in the Asia Pacific region where he is working with leading Utilities in ASEAN, Australia, China, Japan, and India on Integrating Renewables, and the shift to new business models for Utilities. He has a particular interest in leveraging VPP, Microgrid, renewables and storage for Distribution Optimization.
Martin has over 20 years’ experiences in Utilities and Energy industries, and has led many strategy and transformation projects for his clients. Prior to joining Kisters Martin led Accenture’s Smart Grid Services for Asia Pacific and IBM’s business in utilities, telecommunications and media in Germany focusing on Smart Metering, Integrating Renewables, and new energy services. Martin introduced several First-of-a-Kind projects during his tenure in China, among which the highlight included the Intelligent Distribution Outage Planning at Shanghai Municipal Power which was showcased during the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. He started the SAP business in Utilities in Japan working among others with Kansai Electric.
Martin is a frequent public speaker on Smart Grid related topics. He holds a Master’s degree specializing in Industrial Engineering from Technical University Karlsruhe, Germany and he studied International Marketing at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo.
Martin is currently based in Singapore with his wife and his seven year old daughter and he enjoys triathlon, eating, and traveling.
