Dr Matthew Peloso is the Founder and CEO of Sun Electric, Singapore’s first fully licensed solar energy retail company. The company is transforming how people consume energy by bridging the gap between rooftop owners and clean energy consumers through their novel platform SolarSpace TM which is the first real blended implementation of photovoltaics (PV) worldwide. This platform was recognised by Fast Company as the ‘Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Energy’ in the world alongside heavyweights Tesla and Toyota.
Individual solar energy producers can track their contributions to the grid seamlessly and in real-time, while customers can monitor their usage easily on this platform.
Dr Peloso founded Sun Electric in 2013 and provides the strategy and develops the IP portfolio for the group. He is also currently working with governments to promote transparency and liberalisation in energy markets globally. Prior to Sun Electric, he consulted for technology businesses before embarking on his entrepreneurial career. He started his career in the optics industry.
He has a Masters in Intellectual Property Management, a Masters in Physics, and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National University of Singapore.
