Mr. Pham Van Tan is the Deputy Director General of the Department of Hydrology, Meteorology and Climate Change (DMHCC) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) of Viet Nam. He is also the Deputy Chief of the Office for the National Climate Change Committee (NCCC).

His key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the Support Programme to Respond to Climate Change (SP-RCC), an innovative forum for international donors and ministries to identify and implement climate change related policies and actions in Viet Nam
  • Assisting the Minister of MONRE in leading the Team of Viet Nam on Climate Change Negotiation under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
  • Leading process to formulate and implement the Plan for Implementation of the Paris Agreement in Viet Nam
