Ms. Maria Poddey has been working for more than ten years for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in the area of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. She ran the Energy and Environment Department at the German-Chilean Chamber of Commerce in Santiago de Chile and she advised the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on renewable Energy policy issues. Born in Spain and raised in Argentina, Brazil and Germany, Ms. Poddey is now based in Jakarta, Indonesia since July 2015 and heads the ASEAN-German Energy Programme.
