Yukinobu Uchida has been Country Manager for DNV GL Energy Japan since foundation in 2003. He has 27 years in the wind industry, advising some of the country’s largest industrial conglomerates in both onshore and offshore wind. He has extensive experience of the Japanese renewable energy market and has been involved in numerous jobs, including previous work on regulatory conditions for new entrant WTG suppliers to the Japanese market.

He has been a member of IEC 61400-26 Standardisation Project Team for the Technical Specification for Availability of Wind Turbine and Wind Power Plant since its foundation in 2007. He is also a member of Japanese National Sub-Committee for Standardisation of Wind Turbine Certification System.
