Iain Lo is Vice President of Commercial & New Business Development for Asia as part of Shell’s Integrated Gas and New Energies business. Previously, he held the role of Vice President for Malaysia and Philippines of Shell’s upstream business.
Iain has held various senior positions with different Royal Dutch Shell entities globally and regionally. He joined Sarawak Shell Berhad as a Field Engineer in 1990 before moving on to various engineering, economics and corporate roles based in Malaysia, The Hague and Singapore. His areas of responsibility have included LNG joint ventures in Malaysia and the commercial governance of Shell’s Sakhalin Joint Venture in Russia. Iain was also previously the Global Vice President for New Business Development and Ventures for Shell Chemicals in Singapore.
Iain was appointed a board member to the Singapore Economic Development Board from 2009 to 2012.
He holds a MS in Civil Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
