Mr. Girish Tanti co-founder and Board member of Suzlon Energy, India's largest and one of the most admired wind energy companies in the world. He has not only believed in, but completely devoted himself to, powering a greener tomorrow forgenerationsto come.

An Engineer and Business Graduate from UK, Mr. Tanti is a strong believer of technology empowered businesses. He led the effort to set up Suzlon's technology and innovation centres across Europe, with a primary aim to be self-reliant in technology. He played a pivotal role in the first successful public offering of a renewable energy company in India. Suzlon's IPO was not only a remarkable commercial success but also kick-started the boom of the Wind Energy market in India.

Mr. Tanti led Suzlon Energy to become India's leading Wind Turbine supplier in a very short span of time followed by his globalization endeavours making Suzlon a formidable player in the late 2000s. With its International Business Headquarters in Denmark and Regional Headquarters in America, Australia and China, Suzlon gained healthy market share. He was a key member in the acquisition, growth and subsequent strategic disinvestment of two leading European giants Hansen and Repower for Suzlon. While Hansen, strengthened Suzlon's supply chain, Repower opened-up off-shore technology capabilities.

Under Mr. Tanti's leadership the Suzlon Brand earned several national and global recognitions by Clinton Global Initiative, World Economic Forum, United Nations, Time Magazine, BBC and CNN to name a few.

Today, with over 17GWs of wind power projects operational across 18 countries, Suzlon is well positioned to play an important role in leading the renewable energy revolution across the world.
