Dr. Siri Jirapongphan is the Minister of Energy (Thailand) since December 2017. His working experience include Chief of System Planning of the Petroleum Authority of Thailand, Planning & Coordination Manager of National Petrochemical Plc., Senior Vice President of Bangkok Bank, Managing Director of LPN Platemill Plc. and Executive Director of the Petroleum Institute of Thailand (PTIT). In addition, he served as a member of the team in the successful rehabilitation of Thai Petrochemical Industry Plc., and held positions as Board of Directors and Acting Governor of the Port Authority of Thailand, Board of Directors of the State Railway of Thailand and member of the National Reform Council.

Dr.Siri obtained his bachelor degree (honor) in Chemical Engineering from California Institute of Technology and doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
