Serene has been with the energy industry for 15 years. With Shell, she has had extensive international experience through commercial and strategy roles for their downstream business.

Most recently, she led Shell’s energy transition programme in Singapore. In her current capacity, she develops Shell’s policy positions on aviation, marine and road transport, spanning from fuels to electric autonomous vehicles.

Serene graduated from Singapore Management University in Business Finance and Economics. She is personally committed to improving sustainability by minimising her own carbon footprint. She volunteers regularly with organisations supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds and learning difficulties.
