Mr. Naoki Toda is Chief Economist of Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) Research Institute since 2016.

He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Tokyo University and joined TEPCO in 1985. He held several management positions in the Corporate Planning Office of TEPCO Holdings, mainly responsible for the regulatory reform of Electricity Supply Industry.

He is an expert of Power System Economics and the first and only qualified person after TEPCO introduced the S-Class Specialist system.

In 2017, Mr. Toda jointly published a book "Utility 3.0: Game change in energy industry 2050". He has also co-authored several books regarding electric power systems.
