Global Head of Data Science Sembcorp Industries
Dr Partha Dutta is Senior Vice President of Digital & Technology, as well as Global Head of Data Science for Sembcorp Industries. He is responsible for the development and deployment of digital solutions in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and optimisation-based technologies to support the Group’s global energy business.
Dr Dutta has over a decade’s experience in developing data science applications for multiple heavy industries such as energy, mining and aerospace. Before joining Sembcorp, he served as Head of Data Science at Rio Tinto, responsible for developing data science capabilities in the organisation. Prior to that, Dr Dutta worked in Rolls-Royce as Chief of Computational Engineering.
Dr Dutta has also held adjunct faculty positions in academia and actively contributes to data science research and development as a co-author of several published scientific papers, and as a patented inventor.
Dr Dutta holds a Masters and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, UK.
