Siah Keng Boon is Vice President of R&D and Innovation at Sembcorp Industries Ltd. He is responsible for identifying, evaluating and assessing new technologies in the energy and water sectors. He is responsible for managing specialised research and development projects and oversees intellectual property assessment and management.

Keng Boon was formerly Assistant General Manager (Technical) at NSL Chemicals where he oversaw product and process development and improvement for the Chemicals Group. In addition, he was Head of QA / QC and Head of refractory production.

Prior to this, Keng Boon worked in China for ZhengJiang ZhongDa Calcific Products where he was head of supply chain and logistics management, maintenance and material storage, QA and QC. He was also involved in human resources and interfaced with the Singapore headquarters’ finance department.

Keng Boon holds a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and received an MSc in Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
