Aditya Aggarwal is CEO of GIP Singapore, Partner and a member of the Investment Committee of the GIP India Funds. Mr. Aggarwal has been leading GIP India’s investments in Power, Renewables and Urban Infrastructure and is on the boards of various portfolio companies. He has more than 21 years of experience in infrastructure finance with demonstrated success in originating and evaluating investments, establishing new businesses, creating partnerships, building teams and capabilities in a leadership role.
In his earlier role, Mr. Aggarwal was the founding senior member of the core investment team
which set up IDFC’s Infrastructure Funds business. As a part of the founding member of the
leadership team at IDFC Alternatives, Mr. Aggarwal has had the experience of being a part of
complete fund life cycle spanning fund raisings, capital deployment, asset management and
creating exits for portfolio companies across various infrastructure sectors.
Mr. Aggarwal’s previous work experience includes IDFC Limited and Standard Chartered
Bank in areas of project finance, structured finance and international borrowings. He holds an
M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a Bachelors of Commerce
Degree from Delhi University. Mr. Aggarwal is also a Certified Treasury Manager.
