Dr Akhomdeth VONGSAY has worked in the Lao power sector for more than 13 years. During his career, he has been involved in the project financing of several IPPs that are now supplying electricity to Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia; and several others are under construction. Following his earlier, he graduated in Electrical Engineering in bachelor degree and MBA in Australia. In 2015 he graduated the doctoral degree from Kunming University, China and National University of Laos’s joining program.

Presently, Dr Akhomdeth VONGSAY is the Director General of Department of Planning and Cooperation and Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Senior Official on Energy (SOE) of Lao PDR.
