Jan Huinink is the business opportunity manager for Energy Transition projects in Shell Pernis Refinery in the Netherlands. As part of his role, Jan leads the team that develops the Shell Pernis CO2 integration with PORTHOS CCS and OCAP CCU delivery to the greenhouses. Jan has more than 25 years operational and project experience in the Manufacturing,Trading & Supply and Consultancy domain. Jan is a recognized Supply Chain Management professional with both a broad and in-depth know-how in optimisation and operations build up in a variety of planning roles in Rheinland's Economist & Scheduling team, Crude Oil Economist in Trading and Global Supply Excellence. His previous roles were business opportunity manager for Manufacturing and senior consultant for Downstream Management Consultancy, in which Jan led high profile global strategy and business projects for different Classes of Business in different geographies across Downstream. Jan started in Shell in 1995 as a process engineer, where he developed solid technical knowledge in process design and operational support.
