Mr Kimmo Tiilikainen is a State Secretary of the Finnish Government responsible of several policy fields including energy.

Mr. Tiilikainen has a long track-record from various ministerial and other high-level governmental positions focusing on green growth, circular economy and transition towards climate neutrality.

In the Government led by Prime Minister Juha Sipilä Kimmo Tiilikainen served as the Minister of the Environment, Energy and Housing. Before that he served the same Government as the Minister of Agriculture and the Environment since May 2015. Mr. Tiilikainen has been a Member of Parliament from 2003 to 2019 and previously served as the Minister of the Environment from 2007 to 2008.

Mr. Tiilikainen is a graduate of the University of Joensuu (currently University of Eastern Finland) and holds a Master of Science in Agriculture and Forestry. He is also an organic farmer and forester and has a long-standing personal interest in finding solutions to the challenges of the global climate change.
