Mr Lee Seng Wai is the Director of the Policy and Planning Department under the Energy Market Authority of Singapore (EMA). His key responsibilities include (i) promoting renewable energy and energy storage, (ii) promoting the Electricity Futures market, and (iii) corporate planning to ensure EMA remains a future-ready organisation.

The EMA is a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The EMA regulates Singapore’s electricity and gas sectors, so as to achieve a reliable and secure energy supply, competitive energy market, and a dynamic energy sector.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr Lee was in charge of natural gas imports and natural gas infrastructure planning in the EMA. He was also with the Ministry of Trade and Industry handling electricity and natural gas matters.
