Loic Villocel, director of ENGIE Lab Singapore – ENGIE’s R&D arm in APAC, has a civil and energy engineering background and holds a Postgraduate Degree in Gas Engineering, Economics and Management. He started his career in the Group in 2001 in Gaz de France. Loic had a strong history in gas infrastructures, holding different technical, commercial, business development, M&A and management positions all along the gas value chain from the Exploration & Production to the distribution networks. He had a first experience in Singapore 10 years ago in the LNG business, with the objective to develop partnerships and take part in the Singaporean LNG terminal ownership as one of the first step in the growth of the Group in the region. Loic coordinated successfully in 2016 the first French call for H2 projects “Hydrogen Territories”, giving birth to the first H2 projects currently under construction in France and to the H2 Business Unit of ENGIE. Before taking over the lead of ENGIE Lab Singapore in June 2019, Loic developed innovative green services and products including PPA offers for RE100 companies.
