Mr Sandeep Mahawar is Senior Vice President, Commercial & Business Development at Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd (SLNG), where he supervises a team of professionals in the areas of Commercial Operations, Business Optimisation and Business Development. Sandeep is also a member of the Senior Management Team at SLNG.
Prior to joining SLNG in August 2013 Sandeep worked for BG Group for over 15 years in Singapore, UK, USA and Egypt in various commercial, M&A and business development roles covering the Upstream, LNG and Downstream segments of the energy value chain. He started his professional career in the financial sector, working for Deutsche Morgan Grenfell in Singapore before moving on to the Energy Industry in 1998.
Sandeep has been a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators for many years, and represents Singapore in the Gas Advocacy Task Force at the Asean Council of Petroleum (ASCOPE). He is a frequent speaker and panellist at many global LNG conferences and also takes a keen interest to raise the awareness of LNG amongst University students. Sandeep holds a First Class Honours degree in Economics from University College London.
