Education and career

1980 Graduated from College of Economics, Aoyama Gakuin University.
Served as Secretary to Mr. KAIFU Toshiki, a member of the House of Representatives.
1989  Served as Executive Secretary to the Prime Minister (Cabinet Secretariat Researcher).
1994 First elected as a member of the Aichi Prefectural Assembly (following this, reelected six times consecutively).
2007  Served as Chairman, Association of Members of the Aichi Prefectural Assembly, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan.
2009-2010 Served as Secretary-General, LDP in Aichi Prefecture.
2012 First elected as a member of the House of Representatives (Aichi 9th District). (Re-elected in 2014, 2017. Now serving his 3rd term)
