Mr Akihiro Fukuda is Chairman of Senoko Energy, a position he assumed in May 2021.
Prior to his latest appointment, Mr Akihiro Fukuda was President of Marubeni Argentina SA. Among his responsibilities was to oversee the financial performance of its subsidiaries and affiliates in Argentina.
Mr Fukuda also served as President of Marubeni Canada. This was preceded by a supervisory role where he was responsible for the Power & Infrastructure business in Brazil and Portugal, and specific renewable power projects related to geothermal and biomass.
A member of the Russia & CIS Market Strategy Committee, Mr Fukuda was Director, Executive Vice President of Marubeni Brazil, where he oversaw and directed the investment business in Latin America, focusing on power generation and infrastructure business.
He has also taken on various other leadership positions, including overseeing the overall development strategy of Marubeni’s overseas independent power project business and power project development activities in Latin America and Southeast Asia.
Mr Fukuda graduated with a degree in Law from St Paul’s (Rikkyo) University in Tokyo.
