Barbara Noonan joined GE in January 2021 as the Chief Executive Officer of Grid Solutions for the Asia Pacific, China & Japan Region. She has responsibility for all commercial activities and is based in Singapore.
Barbara is a high energy, outcome-focused international business development executive with a proven track record in the technology sector across the Asia Pacific. She has successfully created and driven sustainable business value across Public Safety, Cities, Smart Grids, Telecommunications and Software sectors in Asia Pacific, Europe, and America.
Before joining GE, Barbara was with Nokia Singapore for 14 years, where she most recently led their Government and Cities business across the Asia Pacific. She has also held senior marketing and product management roles with Hutchison Whampoa in Hong Kong, Rational Software in Amsterdam, and Telstra Australia. She has created new market entry programs, built integrated segmentation models, architected ecosystems, and acted as a change agent in start-ups and established organisations.
Originally from Australia, Barbara has lived and worked in Sydney, Amsterdam, California, and Hong Kong. Barbara has an Executive MBA from The National University of Singapore, Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology in Australia.
