Brian D. Byrne

Brian Byrne is currently Managing Director of Siemens Energy Pte Ltd in Singapore as well as Head of the Siemens Energy Asia Pacific Hub, responsible for implementing company wide strategy for all Siemens Energy business units in the region.

Brian has a broad background in the energy business, starting his career in Solar Turbines, Inc. in San Diego, working in various roles ranging from field service, project management and sales./p>

Brian joined Rolls-Royce Energy in 2012, leading the new equipment and services businesses for oil & gas, power generation and industrial customers throughout Asia from the regional headquarters in Singapore. Following the acquisition of the Rolls-Royce Energy business by Siemens in 2014, Brian moved to the UK to be Managing Director of the global Aeroderivitative Gas Turbines product line (which comprised the entire services business from the Rolls-Royce acquisition)

In 2018, Brian moved back to Singapore to become Head of the Power Generation Services division, with responsibility for all Siemens rotating equipment throughout Asia and Australasia. Following the formation of Siemens Energy, he became Managing Director of the Singapore based company as well as taking on responsibility for Asia Pacific for the entire company as the Hub Head.

Brian holds a First Class Honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dublin, Trinity College and a Masters in Business Administration from California State University. Brian is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, a Chartered Engineer and holds patents from the United States Patent office related to gas turbine maintenance technology.
