Mr Han Tek Fong is an energy industry veteran with more than 30 years of extensive experience in the electricity transmission & distribution business, including gas operations. He is the Vice President of SP PowerGrid and is currently heading the department of Corporate Support Group & Digitalisation. His current focus is to further enable and optimise the electricity grid by leveraging technology applications and digitisations to deliver smart and reliable energy to consumers.

Over the years, he has helmed various key portfolios within the organisation, including planning, development, operation & maintenance of electricity transmission and distribution network infrastructure. He oversees the development and maintenance of the distribution network management system for the remote monitoring and control of Singapore’s electricity distribution network. He has also led incident investigations, failure analysis and asset management of electricity network equipment and infrastructure.

Besides Electricity Operation, Mr Han is also well versed in Gas Operation. He led the operation of the Gas market to ensure the efficient transportation of gas through the pipeline infrastructure from shippers to end-users.

Mr Han graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree in 1985 from the National University of Singapore and is a registered Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore since 1992.
