Pradeep Tharakan currently serves as Unit Head, Sovereign Energy Operations, Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) with the ADB’s Southeast Asian Energy Division, where he oversees sovereign lending and policy support for clean energy and climate change mitigation activities. Previously, he was ADB’s Energy Team Lead for Indonesia and was based in Jakarta from 2012-2016. He has nearly 20 years of experience focused on global energy, natural resources management and climate change issues. Pradeep has a PhD in Environmental Science, and a master’s degree in business administration and public policy.
