As the Senior Vice President of Shell’s Global Mobility Network, Min Yih oversees a global portfolio of 46,000 sites in close to 80 countries – this is more outlets around the world than McDonald’s and Starbucks combined.
Min Yih’s responsibility is wide-ranging. He manages Shell’s global retail footprint, from planning and investment to construction and maintenance of the sites. With a global team of over 600 colleagues, they answer fundamental questions such as “what do Shell customers want, and where do they want it?”. Building infrastructure in line with changing customer and societal needs while transitioning to lower carbon fuels is one of his key priorities.
In addition to this role, Min Yih is the Chairman of the board of Pilipinas Shell and a Director of Shell Singapore.
Min Yih has worked in a diverse number of countries including the UK, USA, Thailand and Singapore. Having a varied international career spanning over 3 continents, Min Yih is passionate about championing diversity and developing talents in Shell.
Min Yih has also held various other General Manager positions in the Retail, Commercial Fuels and Lubricants business in the East previously. Prior to joining Shell, Min Yih worked in ExxonMobil where he held a series of commercial, operational and staff leadership roles in downstream businesses spanning Retail, Marine, Lubricants, Commercial Vehicles & Cards and Technology, including a stint based in Fairfax, Virginia as Global Planning Advisor.
Min Yih holds a B. Engineering (Mechanical) and an MBA. Married with two sons, he enjoys golf, tennis, softball, reading and travelling. Min Yih is a Singaporean based in the Shell Singapore after working in the London HQ for almost 8 years.
