Celeste Marshall joined the Office of Asian Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy in August 2020, covering Southeast Asia and Oceania.  She has recently supported trips for the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and other senior leadership within the Department to Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific.  Prior to joining the Office of International Affairs, Celeste worked as an Economic Advisor at an energy trade association in Washington, D.C.  She focused on assessing global energy market impacts and analyzing trade policy.  She has also worked in the economics section at the U.S. Department of State in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs and the U.S. Embassy in Paris.  She has a Master of Art degree in Economics from Youngstown State University.
