Chevron New Energies
Srimonto Ghosh is the General Manager of Emerging for Chevron New Energies. In this role he is responsible for growing Chevron’s emerging low carbon energies businesses, accelerating Chevron’s higher returns and lower carbon ambitions.
Ghosh brings over 25 years’ experience from across the energy value chain from upstream, midstream, and power, including eight years in New Energies businesses. Prior to his current role, Srimonto led Chevron’s renewables strategy in Chevron Pipeline and Power, as well as the development of the projects for supply to our Mid-Continent business unit. Srimonto joined Chevron (Texaco) through the MBA leadership development program and has held diverse roles with increasing responsibility over 16 years with the company in upstream, gas and LNG midstream business in North America, Asia, and West Africa. Outside Chevron he has worked with Reliance Industries, Jacobs, and been an energy focused entrepreneur for five years with a successful exit.
Srimonto holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from MIT, Manipal, India, and an MBA from RH Smith School, University of Maryland. Additionally, he is a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma practice.
