Alessandro Panico

Alessandro Panico is Chief Commercial Officer and Senior Vice President of Prysmian's Transmission Business, where he leads the company's global commercial strategy for submarine power cable systems, interconnectors, and offshore wind transmission projects.

With more than 20 years of international experience in the submarine cable industry, Alessandro has held senior leadership positions across engineering, product management, business development, strategy, and sales. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in the development of large-scale subsea energy infrastructure projects worldwide, supporting the integration of renewable energy sources, the expansion of offshore wind, and the strengthening of cross-border electricity networks.

Prior to rejoining Prysmian in 2026, Alessandro served as Business Development and Strategy Director at Asso.subsea, a leading marine installation contractor, where he contributed to the growth of the company's offshore wind and interconnector business and to the successful delivery of complex offshore energy projects.

A strong advocate for electrification and sustainable infrastructure, Alessandro is passionate about enabling the global energy transition through innovative submarine transmission solutions that connect renewable energy resources to consumers and enhance energy security. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II.
