Dan Tennakoon

Dan Tennakoon is the Founder and CEO of RE24, a UK energy-technology company that helps data centres and other large energy users procure genuinely 24/7 carbon-free power and works at the point where that procurement meets demand flexibility and storage on capacity-constrained grids.

He brings over 20 years in the energy sector, including senior roles at Centrica, where he was Head of Investment & Structuring, and at Engie, before founding RE24 in 2022.

Under his leadership, RE24 has taken end-to-end ownership of the hourly-matched renewable procurement chain for its clients across the UK and Europe and built its Insights platform to optimise consumption and storage against live grid, price and carbon signals. Its work includes delivering Ireland's first aggregated, hourly-matched renewable PPA for a data centre. RE24 has been active in Singapore market and bringing this experience to the wider APAC region, where tight grid capacity makes demand-side flexibility and storage central to how data centres grow.

RE24 is a certified B Corp and won the DCD Energy Impact Award and Energy Innovation of the Year at The Energy Awards in 2025.
