James O Reilly

James O’Reilly is Chief Executive Officer of Greenlink Interconnector Limited, owner and operator of the 500 MW Greenlink HVDC electricity interconnector between Ireland and Great Britain. Greenlink is the first project-financed electricity interconnector and commenced commercial operations in January 2025, having been delivered on schedule and within budget.

James has more than 30 years of experience across the energy and utilities sectors, specialising in the development, financing, construction and operation of major energy infrastructure and network assets. Prior to joining Greenlink, he held senior leadership positions with Phelan Energy, KTL Group, Rivada Networks and Accenture. He holds a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Galway and an MBA from INSEAD.
