Randolph is Global Head of Clean Power Systems as HSBC. He leads and supports on key initiatives including HSBC’s Net Zero investment strategy, identification of clean energy finance opportunities, client transition analysis, and the development of sector targets and pathways. Randolph works closely with colleagues in the front line to provide transaction support, as well as client engagement on their energy transition strategies. He has joined HSBC from the UK Energy Networks Association, where he was Director of Innovation & Electricity Systems and led work on energy transition, digitalisation, engineering, innovation, low carbon technologies and energy resilience. Previously he worked on the design and development of renewables and electricity grid projects.

Randolph participates in a range of energy and climate related advisory groups, including the Green Grids Initiative and the Group of Experts on Clean Electricity Systems for the UNECE. He has an M.Phil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge and brings deep expertise in renewables, electric vehicles, storage and the electricity grid – technologies at the heart of the Net Zero energy transition.
