SIEWConnects@Shenzhen: Strengthening Energy Systems for Tomorrow
| Date | 26 May 2026, 15:00 - 17:30 hrs |
| Venue | Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau Co., Ltd., Shenzhen |
The energy transition is progressing, with renewables expanding, digital tools enhancing real-time grid operations, and energy storage rapidly advancing. However, challenges such as ageing infrastructure, limited investment, and increasing system complexity remain. Addressing these gaps requires stronger collaboration across the public and private sectors, supported by innovative financing and enabling mechanisms.
This discussion will explore how technology, energy storage, and smarter financing can strengthen energy systems to meet future demands.
Key Discussion Questions
How can we design energy systems today to meet the demands of tomorrow?
What role will renewables play in future power systems?
Where can digital technologies optimise operations and integrate diverse energy sources?
How can energy systems better coordinate and manage distributed generation and storage?
Which financing models are most effective, and how can they be scaled?
What role can energy storage play in supporting reliable and flexible energy systems?

Participants of SIEWConnects@Shenzhen are welcome to join an exclusive technical site visit to the Lotus Hill Supercharging Station. This tour provides a first-hand opportunity to explore Shenzhen’s advanced developments in ultra-fast charging infrastructure, solar-storage integration, vehicle-to-grid (V2G) interaction, and innovative new energy system applications.
About Lotus Hill Supercharging Station
Located on a 3,192㎡ site with a power capacity of 4,100 kVA, the Lotus Hill Station is a flagship multi-functional demonstration project featuring “Solar-Storage Supercharging + Vehicle-Grid Interaction + HarmonyOS” technologies.
The station is equipped with 27 charging terminals (ultra-fast, fast, and standard chargers) and 46 charging guns, covering 46 parking bays. It integrates a 152 kW photovoltaic system, 200 kWh energy storage, and a 2,160 kW V2G system, creating a highly synergistic “source-grid-load-storage” new energy ecosystem.
| Location | Lotus Hill Supercharging Station No. 2-11 Aoshi Da Road, Futian District, Shenzhen |
