Kazuhiro Takeuchi joined Japan Renewable Energy Corporation (JRE) on October 1, 2015 as President and CEO. Founded in August 2012, JRE is a leading developer and operator of renewable energy harnessing solar, wind and biomass power plants in Japan.

Prior to the current position, Takeuchi served various positions of Sumitomo Corporation for 37 years, including President and CEO of its South East Asia organization and President and CEO of its Americas organization.

Takeuchi received his Master’s degree in International Management from American Graduate School of International Management (currently Thunderbird School of Global Management) in 1977. He also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Tokyo University.
